Important: ROSS sends relevant information to the model and connected services you choose so they can do the work you request. Confidential or privileged use is at your own risk. Choose providers and settings that meet your professional obligations. Coverage is limited, and every source and answer still needs professional review.

Before you start: you need at least one API key from a supported model provider to use ROSS's AI features. Get one from OpenAI or from Anthropic (Claude), Google (Gemini), xAI (Grok), Moonshot (Kimi), or another provider shown in ROSS. Then add it in Account → API keys.

Getting started

Each service has its own API key.

ROSS does not supply these keys. Get each one directly from the service that provides it, then paste it into the matching field on the ROSS Account → API keys page.

For example, get an OpenAI key from the OpenAI API keys page. Copy the key, sign in to ROSS, and paste it into the OpenAI field. CourtListener and CanLII use separate keys from your model-provider key.
